Stormy Blaze Keegan

The first fur-baby to enter our family was a Golden Retriever named ‘Jeter’.  Yes, I am a Yankee fan, and for you Red Sox fans, please don’t hold it against me.  Jeter, born in July 05', is  90 lbs of pure muscle.  For a Golden Retriever he is quite big.  He is a handsome young man and as sweet as they come.  Although very sweet and gentle now, he didn’t start out that way.  He was quite the handful.  Our vet recommended we get a second dog so he could get rid of all that excess energy, despite the fact that he got over an hour hike every morning and another 45 minute hike in the evening, it still wasn’t enough.  Thus, my quest for the perfect playmate for Jeter.  After much research, I stumbled across the Shiloh Shepherd and loved what I read about them.

Shiloh Shepherd’s are referred to as gentle giants with human like intelligence.  Shiloh Shepherd’s have the perfect balance of boldness yet gentle with children and other animals.  They are totally devoted to their family with a protective, yet calm and steady disposition.
They can make wonderful Search & Rescue dogs and also certified therapy dogs.  Their beauty is like none other with a gliding gate to die for.  It is a spectacular site to see a bunch of Shiloh’s running across the yard with such effortless movement.

Well, I was sold.  I wanted a female with a soft temperament and big enough size to keep up with Jeter.  I ended up at New Zion, the breed founder, and Karly, a dark grey sable plush, came into our lives.  Karly was my introduction to this wonderful breed.  Unfortunately, it was a rough introduction as Karly has many health issues.  After the first 8 months of her life seeing specialists to try and save her life, she is doing well.  Karly, born in Nov 05', is the queen of the household.  She is our pet quality Shiloh who will be on medication for the remainder of her life.  She has a sweet temperament, super intelligence, very obedient, easy to train and totally devoted to me.  She does not let me out of her sight.  Despite my rocky introduction to this wonderful breed, I was not discouraged about the breed and desired another Shiloh to add to our family.  If there is only one thing you take from this web site, let it be this, research your breeder thoroughly and assume nothing.

Our part-time family member is my best friends wonderful Bernese Mountain dog named Charis.  She visits often for sleep overs with all of her buddies here.  She is a sweet, fun-loving extension to our family and we are the official God parents of Charis.

After learning my lesson with my first Shiloh, I spent much more time researching to find our next Shiloh addition to the family.  If you have visited many Shiloh sites, the common theme is “you can’t have just one” Shiloh Shepherd.  I soon discovered that the lists for Shiloh puppies fill up fast but I got lucky, as someone backed out of the list, and our next girl came into our lives.  Stormy, is a black & tan dual plush from Belle Grace Shiloh Shepherds.  Stormy was born in Jan 07' and is such a blessing to our fur family.  She has the absolute sweetest temperament.  We call her the ‘peace maker’ of the family.  If there are any tiffs, she is quick to get into the middle of it and kiss everyone.  She is growing like a weed and has such beautiful movement as they all play chase in the back yard.  It was at this point that we decided we’d like to start down the path of being a small breeder with high hopes for Stormy as one of our foundation females.

Our next pursuit led us Jnl Pocono Shiloh’s and the beautiful Blaze joined our family. Blaze, born on May 07', is a golden / brown sable plush (too early to tell the exact color yet) who is a big stunning girl. She is a sweet girl but has a sassy side to her. She thinks she is the boss of Stormy and will steal the treat right out of Stormy’s mouth. We have great hopes for Blaze also, as she get complements wherever she goes.

Please explore the remainder of our web-site for more details on our hopeful young Shiloh’s and check back regularly as we update the web site with new photo’s as they grow and for more information on our growing fur family.
